Since breastfeeding is a natural consequence to giving birth, many mothers assume that knowing how to breastfeed comes also naturally. Unfortunately reality is not like this, breastfeeding being a skill that requires learning and practice. Not all babies are born the same and also not all moms fit in the same mold. Individual cases sometimes require individual attention and advice. Many women do experience difficulty and problems at the beginning while learning to nurse, especially first-time mothers, and even cases that are initially problem-free may turn sour in the absence of proper advice and consultation.
Fortunately, most of the time problems may be fully resolved when an experienced professional lactation consultant is at hand. As a lactation consultant (Certified by the International Board of Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC), and mom of three breastfed babies, I have had the satisfaction of successfully assisting many nursing mothers (in the US, Canada, Europe and all over the world) in resolving their breastfeeding problems and overcoming successfully any lactation difficulties they faced, by individual personal support and by providing the information and advice they needed.

Telephone lactation consultation
Phone lactation consultation consists of an initial phone session of up to 45 minutes and, if necessary, a second, short, follow-up phone session. Sessions may be pre-booked by email by mutual arrangement, according to time availability and mutual convenience, from 8.00 GMT to 20.00 GMT Monday to Friday (excluding holidays and vacation periods). Emergency sessions may be arranged during after hours or weekends, if necessary, however at additional cost (please see below).
Consultation Fees:
Weekdays: Euros 50.00, inclusive of single follow-up session and inclusive of long-distance telephone costs

If you wish to book a phone lactation consultation session, please let me know by email your most convenient dates and hours (always GMT) for an appointment, and also provide your complete phone number (including all code necessary for an international phone call). Confirmation of appointment date and time will be made by return email, and then I will call you at the phone number provided by you, at the confirmed date and time of appointment. As mentioned before, all telephone charges are included in the stated Consultation Fee, irrespective of length of session.
